The SciLog SciPro™ BioProcessing System
The SciPro Smart BioProcessing System has hardware and software capabilities to interface with pressure sensors (3), liquid level sensors, electronic scales, electronic flow meters, valves, and up to three flow-through monitors (i.e. pH, Conductivity, UV detectors) as well as printers and computers. On-board application software provides user-definable, automated solution handling for TFF and Diafiltration.
The SciPro filtration modes allow for either constant rate (mode 40) or constant pressure filtration (mode 41). Using either two or three pressure transmitters, the SciPro� will continuously monitor the TMP and, in the mode 41, maintain a user-defined TMP by modulating the pump output. The SciPro is a safe, self-supervisory solution handling system. Up to six (6) user-definable alarm conditions are continuously monitored. An electronic scale is used for quantitative, automated permeate collection.

SciPro-100: Peristaltic Pump Head: 2 Tandem heads, choice of Tandem 1081 and/or Tandem 1082 (SciLog, Inc.). Tandem 1081 accommodates Masterflex tubing sizes #13, 14, 16, 25, 17 and 18. Tandem 1082 accommodates Masterflex thick-walled tubing sizes #15, 24 and 35. 0.5 Hp Motor, Wash-Resistant Construction, NEMA 56C, 3.7 to 1 Gear Reduction, 475 RPM at head. Flow range from 1 ml/min to 1650 ml/min/channel.
SciPro-101: Peristaltic Pump Head: Easy Load I/P Model (Cole-Parmer), 0.02 to 3.2 gal./min (0.08 to 12 lt./min), 25 psi maximum pressure, 0.5 Hp Motor, Wash-Resistant Construction, NEMA 56C, 3.1 to 1 Gear Reduction, 565 RPM at head, uses Masterflex tubing I/P 26, 73 & 82.
SciPro-102: Peristaltic Pump Head: Model B/T (Cole- Parmer), 0.1 to 12 gal/min. (0.38 to 45 lt./min.), 20 psi maximum, 0.50 HP Motor, Wash-Resistant Construction, NEMA 56 C Interface, 5.1 to 1 Gear Reduction, 343 RPM at head, uses Masterflex tubing B/T 86, 88, 90, & 92.
SciPro-104: Peristaltic Pump Head: Model 620RE4 (Watson Marlow), 0.5HP motor, 250 RPM max., 7:1 Gear Reducer, Uses StaPure Teflon tubing sizes: 17mm (0.54 to 14.7 liters/min) and 12 mm (0.34 to 8.14 liters/min). The SciPro with the 624RE4 pump head generates a constant pump output over a pressure range from 0-60psi. Both tube sizes come with fractional sanitary flange (3/4 Tri-clover) connectors made of Kynar. The 620RE4 pump rollers (4) can be disengaged for CIP/SIP application with out removing the pump tubing.
SciPro-104B: Peristaltic Pump Head: Model 620R (Watson Marlow), 0.5HP motor, 250 RPM max., 7:1 Gear Reducer, Uses continuous pump tubing sizes: 6.4 mm ID (#26), 9.6 mm ID (#73), 12,7 mm ID (#82), and 15,9 mm ID (#184), wall thickness is 3.2 mm (0.125 ) for all tube sizes. Flow Range from 0.15 liters/min to 14.5 liters/min.
SciPro-300: Pulse-free Magnetic Gear Pump: Model 5K and 10K (Micropump), Wash-Resistant Construction, NEMA 56 C-face motor, 0.5 / 1.0 HP Motor, 1750 RPM, Pump Head: 316 AISI SS, Gears: Teflon® or PEEK, NPT Ports. Pump Rates: 5K Model (115VAC) 0.1 to 5 gal/ min.(0.38 to 19 lt. / min.) 100 psi max. Pressure. 10 K Model (230VAC), 0.2 to 10 gal / min (0.76 to 38 lt./min.), 80 psi max. Pressure. Maximum viscosity of 2500 cpi.

All Relay Connectors (Contact Closures) are designed to handle up to 5 Ampers at 230 Volts. Each of the four (4), programmable contact closures consists of: Common (C), Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NO) terminal.

Analog Daughter Board (P/N #800-444) provides two additional 4-20 mA SciPro inputs for hook up to external concentration detectors; the SciPro Analog Daughter Board can accommodate Wedgewood Flow-through UV, pH or Conductivity detectors. Detector outputs are incorporated in SciPro software as user-programmable alarms.
Multiple-Valve Control Box (P/N#800-450): Remote control of twelve (12) electrically actuated air flow valves (Clippard) for automated pneumatic operation of twelve (12) pinch valves or sanitary diaphragm valves. Fully programmable from SciPro via dedicated serial port or manual control from front panel of multi-Valve Box. Optional inputs for valve position sensors.
